NASCAR License Plate

Florida Sports, in partnership with the United States Olympic Committee, the NASCAR Foundation, the USTA Florida Section Foundation and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), has created additional sports specialty license plates. These tags are available for purchase at your local tag agency and are for Florida registered vehicles only.

If you are ordering online, you will be contacted by a representative from your local tag office to process your order within one business day.

Purchasing Information:

  • If you are within your renewal period (within 3 months of your plate expiration): 
New plate fee of $58.00 PLUS your annual registration fee.
  • If you are NOT within your renewal period:
 Replacement license plate fee of $69.60 (When you are not within your renewal period you cannot update your registration; therefore, there is not an additional registration fee added)

Personalized Plates

Personalized plates are available for an additional fee. If you are interested in purchasing a personalized plate, a representative from your local tag office will further assist and provide the necessary paperwork.

Proceeds:

Florida Sports distributes the proceeds from the NASCAR plate to support its major and regional grant program, the marketing of motor sports related tourism in the state, NASCAR and to The NASCAR Foundation’s designated charitable organizations. The Florida Sports Foundation’s major and regional grant programs are designed to assist communities and host organizations in attracting sporting events that generate out-of-state economic impact for the state of Florida.

The Nascar Foundation

The NASCAR Foundation is a leading charity that works to improve the lives of children who need it most in NASCAR communities by partnering with medical experts and other charitable organizations to fund children’s health and wellness programs through its Speediatrics Children’s Fund. Since it was founded in 2006, the Foundation has cumulatively donated nearly $40 million to reach more than 1.4 million children.
