Florida’s sports family, together at the Capitol
Sports GameDay is the Florida Sports Foundation’s annual Sports Day at the Capitol, the one time each legislative session when the whole Florida sports community shows up in Tallahassee together.
Pro and college teams, mascots, Sunshine State Games and Florida Senior Games athletes, and sports tourism partners from every corner of the state fill the Capitol’s North Plaza to show lawmakers what sports mean to Florida.
Behind the fun is a serious message. Sports events and sports tourism bring visitors, spending, and jobs to communities across the state. GameDay puts the people who make that happen face to face with the leaders who shape Florida’s future, so the impact of sports is seen, heard, and remembered.
Celebrate
A full game-day atmosphere on the North Plaza, with teams, mascots, athletes, music, and partner displays for legislators, staff, and Capitol visitors.
Connect
Industry and destination partners meet with their own state senator and state representative to share how sports shape their communities.
Showcase
Destinations, teams, and events put Florida’s sports economy on display, from the specialty license plate program to the events that bring visitors to every region.

Industry and destination partners meet with their state senator and state representative to share the impact of sports tourism in their communities.

Setting up on the North Plaza
Partners showcasing on the North Plaza on March 17 should list their setup needs when they RSVP.
- Tables and chairs are provided by FSF. Request how many you need on the RSVP form.
- Tents are not provided.
- Displays such as banners, cars, inflatables, or interactive games: tell us what you plan to bring.
The schedule pairs each of FSF’s 37 industry and destination partners with their state senator and state representative. Partners who share a legislator meet together and present a combined regional story.

- Senate and House meetings are scheduled separately, so no partner is booked in two places at once.
- Short, focused meetings with time built in to walk between offices.
- Five regional tracks, each led by an FSF escort. Partners only need to be present for their own meetings.
