The 2017 Florida Senior Games will be in Clearwater and Pinellas County for the third consecutive year and the Games will return to the area in 2018 and serve as a qualifier for the 2019 National Senior Games, to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The 2016 Games in Clearwater attracted over 3,000 athletes age 50 and over during the nine days of competition. Since the Games inception in 1992, nearly 50,000 senior athletes have competed in the Florida Senior Games.

How do I enter my local Senior Games Swimming event? I live in Marin County, Fl and know that the Games take place here Nov. 3 – 11, 2017 but I don’t know how to enter. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi Christine –
Thanks for your inquiry about the Florida Senior Games Series Qualifier, the Martin County Senior Games. You can reach out to the local event director, David Gladding, at (772) 353-9234, or by email at dgladdin@martin.fl.us. I looked at the Martin County website but there does not seem to be anything listed yet for the Games. I’m sure David will be happy to add you to a mailing list for when the information is available. I hope this helps and please feel free to contact me, Nick Gandy, at ngandy@flasports.com if you are unable to find out more info. Best of luck.

How many spots qualify for Florida Senior Games in pickleball? (I will be playing in the Pensacola games. Do only “gold medalists” qualify for Florida games?)
Hi Dottie –
At the Florida Senior Games Series Qualifiers, which include the Pensacola Senior Games, the top 5 in each age group qualify for the Florida Senior Games. Participants that qualify in one Pickleball event are eligible for all Pickleball events.
You can find this information, along with other Florida Senior Games Pickleball Info at http://floridasports.wpengine.com/senior_game/pickleball/.
Best of luck in Pensacola and we hope to see you in Clearwater in December.

Where do you suggest we stay for tennis?
Hi Liz –
Thanks for your inquiry about the 2017 Florida Senior Games. We are finalizing the tennis location and should have an announcement soon. Please give the hotel website a look at https://www.legacyti.net/2017floridaseniorgames. The listings on the site offer a variety of accommodations and prices to choose from. I can tell you the Hampton Inn and Clarion on U.S. 19 are both very centrally located to all of the venues used for the Florida Senior Games. I don’t know if that helps you. I’ve stayed at the Hampton Inn the last two years while working the event and it’s easy to get to anywhere we have competition. Keep checking http://www.floridaseniorgames.com for the tennis location which should be known soon. You can finalize your plans then. Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you in December.

I have heard the venue for the Florida senior games on December 9 has been changed to Dunedin high school, is this correct?
Yes, that is correct. The Track and Field venue has been changed from Clearwater High School to Dunedin High School.
Is Track & Field on Saturday 12/9 or Sunday, 12/10 at Dunedin HS?
Florida Senior Games Track and Field will be held, both days, Saturday, 12/9, with Field Events, and Sunday, December 10, with Running Events, at Dunedin High School.
More information can be found at http://floridasports.wpengine.com/senior_game/track-and-field/.
I hope this answers your questions.
